Weekend is over ...

Hi ! How was your weekend?


Yesterday we went to have brunch in Hilltop Luyang (Forgot the name of the restaurant..**ouchh very forgetful lately..) But their menu is very simple .. They only have "mee" & "meehoon", whether you want dry (kon lau lah) or soup ..but the main ingredients are all the same ... fish! Anyhow, their food is delicious .. I can see a lot of people went there too! And oh ya ..they do have my all-time favourite ..Tom Yam Mee! After brunch we had small talk with hub, he decided that he will start his own food-blog soon, so .. I'm waiting lah this! hehe ..anyway have to get a digi-cam loor so he can take loads & loads of pix! (at the moment he is still using SLR cam ..) After brunch, we don't know what to do. So we decided to head to Centre Point, the shopping complex which we abandoned since they have 1Borneo. I haven't been there for quite some time and I found it less attractive nowadays (The only place I visit there is Popular bookstore and bought few books...) So we were there for less than an hour. After that we headed home (at least the kids get their afternoon nap).



Later in the evening hub said he wanted to go to Kasih Sayang Resort in Kionsom. So we packed our things (together with the video-cam) and drive up to Inanam. When we left the house it was really windy so I told hub it better don't rain, if not it will spoilt our trip ..But duhh half way there it already started raining . But nevermind that , we still continue our journey. Yess ..we are determine to go.But nobody ever tell us (or warn us) about the trip going there! And I & hub didn't have the slightest idea about the journey too ! And to those of you who wish to go there, let me tell you earlier about the road condition. Worst! and just imagine bad road condition and going up hill (steep road)! You need a 4wd to go there.. and we are not well prepared for that!! (pity our car....) So we only managed to go half-way and turn back ! I am so sad that I didn't get the chance to go there and watched sunset (or take photo of the wild boar like DelphinaRougue did... hehe). But hub promised that when the weather is good and the sky is clear & sunny we definitely will go there again..hehe (another attempt lah kunun this...). Tho' I didn't get there, but hey I do have some pix to post here. Next time, I promise I will take lots of pix ok! When I get there .....

Wedding ...

Another wedding is coming soon in August, Pancho's SIL will be getting married this 31 Aug. I am superbly duperly thrill about wedding .. Why? Well who doesn't love wedding right ? The food , the drinks , the cakes , the bride & the traditional dance .. Hmmm the only thing I hate is when people will force you to drink "tapai" ... the locally made wine. Well it's time to hunt for cake now .... taaa daaaaa !!

p.s my childhood friend is also getting married this Aug , well she pick the date 08.08.08 . People said no 8 is a lucky number ? ya mehh?? I don't believe there is any "unlucky" number .. Do you?

The Birthday Cake!!!

Yup ... as promise here are some pix of the birthday cake for Jonathan, my BIL. Tho' it doesn't turn out as what we (BIL's wife & I) expected ...but luckily everybody loves the cake very much... Until they not sure whether to cut it or not ... Too bad we are not there to celebrate together with them .. but nvm we also got our portion coming from Tawau tomorrow .. hehe

Initially Wendy wants the cake to be maroon in colour .. but to bad the bakery said they don't have any maroon colour at that moment..(lame excuses kan..) so nvm, she wants it to be in purple then.. But see lah what happen to the cake? It was a blue Volkswagen.. hahahaha. And the icing is not smooth kan... (I am not a baker .. but when it comes to presentation I want it to be perfect..). According to the guy who bake this cake it was really a hard work.. Anyway, for first attempt ..oklah. Luckily everybody loves the cake .. if not Wendy will be more stressful ... kasian her! Can't wait to taste it myself tomorrow ...

01st July 2008 - Yup.. today is my BIL's birthday ....


So a very happy birthday to you & hope you enjoy ur volks cake! Your wife has a very long story about that .. hahaha You should ask her anyway .. giving her a lot of stress !!


Anyway was waiting for the cake photo ... but pix can't get thru .. don't know what seems to be the problem. Anyway Wendy will be sending me some (saki-baki) of the cake .. so **finger-cross** lah ni ... Can't wait to try out the cake!


p.s So once I get the photo I will post it here .. hehe .Got to go because Piggy Boy is disturbing me again..... aiyohh!

Buckle Up Please ....

Whether you're on your way to the fish market, your babysitter's house or to the library, you're probably getting there by riding in a car.Most kids spend some time in a car every day.Cars can be great because they're faster than biking, walking, or skateboarding.



But riding in cars comes with some responsibility: You need to ride safely. Especially when you are driving with toddlers. But what I notice most parents didn't even practice all this safety tips. I once saw a father driving with a toddler (around 18months) on his lap. Whether they think that investing some money in buying children car seat is costly or they are just a bunch of ignorant people.

Tunggal, dekat sini. Ketika kejadian, mangsa bersama kakaknya, Aishah, 5, duduk di tempat duduk belakang kenderaan itu, manakala ibu mereka di depan. Ibu bapa Mohd Firdaus juga dikatakan hanya menyedari anak bongsu mereka terjatuh apabila Aishah menjerit memberitahu pintu kereta terbuka.

Don't you think it is the parent's negligence that has cause the life of that little boy? If they have install the car seat, or even lock the door... I am sure the boy will still be safe, right? I have seen a lot of parents driving around with the kids' not even buckle up to their seat ... Goshhh very dangerous! When hub is driving I always sit down behind with my kids (and of course they were buckle up in their own car seat!)



And now the government is trying to enforce the rear seat belt law. (But I'm not sure whether this has started already or not). Anyway it's a good move to prevent rood accident.According to the news I read, the rear seat belt would be enforced on all vehicles except those registered before Jan 1,1995 .



So parents ... save some money and go buy the baby chair or booster chair for your kids. It's not much , only cost you around $150-$500 (if you really want to get the good one lah...) Your kid's life is PRICELESS .....

p.s Maybe it is more better if parents can install the airbag too!

Isaac Wyatt

Yup ... I haven't updated anything about Isaac yet .. tho' he is already 10 months old

Anyway here are a few thingy about this piggy boy

1. He got 2 teeth already (ya I know... a bit slower than other kids ..nvm that)
2. He can stand up on his own (for a few seconds only lah..)
3. He don't take his feed (milk) at nite time .. so he will sleep straight until morning ...(huh.. relieve because with Phoebe, hub & me have to take turn to make milk for her .. she woke up every 2 hours when she was still a baby...stress!)
4. He is allergy with Strawberry (pity because Phoebe loves strawberry ...)
5. He is very attached to Mum, Dad & big Sis ... and also Anne, his caretaker at the nursery.
6. I think he got claustrophobia ..because he don't like to be put inside the pail when he take his bath.
7. Last nite he said the word "papa"... (mama is very sad..bcs have been teaching him the word ma-ma for long time already ..huhu...)
8. Very jealousy...
9. Short-tempered (like both mum&dad... hahaha)
10. Why we called him Piggy? Other than born in the year of the "Golden Pig" (Chinese calender) .. he can't stand looking at other people eating .....

There are so many things again .. but I will post it some other time ...& with the photo, of course . Now the camera is out of order , so can't take pix at the moment ...

Update ..Update ... Update ...

Yayyy .. Don’t really feel like blogging this few days. Weather has been good since Saturday.. hot & sunny . Its not that I don’t like the rainy season … I just don’t like to get wet .


Well it’s just a summary updates for this few days …


1) PIL just went back to Tawau today. They were here since last Saturday to attend Flora’s funeral. May her soul rest in peace…..



2) And today also happen to be Niell’s (A’s Nephew) birthday … 9 years old right? (hehe .. correct me if I’m wrong..)



3) I hurt my right hand .. because I spank phoebe last Monday …(kasian my girl.. that day I am sooo over-done mad, and A said I “ketulahan”)



4) I was supposed to bring Phoebe to watch Narnia during the holidays, but big-butt Mummy soo lazy to go….



5) For the 100 times .. Phoebe keeps on saying that she wanted to go to Chinese school. Actually I & hub haven’t decided yet which kindy to send her…Of course they first school that comes into my mind is St Francis Convent. But if she really wants to take Chinese maybe I can think about Shan Toa.. at least it is still under the catholic mission school. Hmmm.. I know A won’t agree with that ….


Apart from that .. for the past 3 days holiday .. I just laze around the house. Screaming at phoebe , feeding my boy and watch TV the whole day …And oh ya .. I did bring phoebe to the playground last Sunday.. but she was so upset because the playground is full with other kids playing . And she didn’t even have the chance to play .. poor girl. Anyway we decided to go for a walk around the park after that.


And yess .. Tomorrow is 22nd May 2008 which meanssss ……they will be showing Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the crystal skull… woooohooooo !!!

Our trip to Labuan

We went to Labuan on the 18th April for Isaac's Christening Day. Well almost everybody ask me .. "why Labuan? Why not somewhere else ..?" Hmmm...there are 2 reasons for that .. 1- Because I wanted my BIL to be the God-Pa for Isaac and 2) AM needs to get far away from KK ...(teeheehee .. and mee too ) We took the Ferry from Jesselton Point at 8 am . Wow! Phoebe was soo excited to go up the boat ...... Anyway, it was a 3 hours journey from KK .. So in the beginning it was fun .. but half way the kids are really bored so they dozed off... (and mama too .. except for dada who is still wide awake watching Zorro ..)


We reach Labuan around 11 noon .. and if you ask me to describe Labuan I only have 1 word .. that is "Hot" . Yup! the weather was very hot .... We took a cab to Financial Park, and yes .. that's the only Shopping Complex they have there ...kasian kan and had lunch at the food court. After Lunch we headed straight home .. We didn't do much on Friday .. except that we went to the church to met up with Jimmy & Thomas .. the clerk who was supposed to arranged the Baptism (hehe .. just to make sure that Isaac's name is listed for the baptism since we & the god-pa didn’t manage to attend the briefing -- in other word "Lazy")


Isaac's baptism was on the next day Saturday, 19th April at 9am. We reach the church that morning exactly at 9am ... (after soo much nagging and "hurry up, we dowan to be late..." well if u know the Ukang's .. hehehe.. Excuses being late!) Anyway we have to wait for almost 45 mins because the priest was not feeling well. Kasian Fr Tung .. According to the Sister.. Fr Tung was having his asthma attack ... poor Priest . I think he is too old .. I was soo surprised when the staff told me that this is the first time Labuan has a Resident Priest . I was rather scared that if the baptism was cancelled that day .. Because I’m not sure either I will be able to attend the next baptism .. But luckily they have a replacement. A nun , Sister Mary Germaine Angkangon (I think I got her name right...) who happen to be my mom's 2nd cousin.. This is Isaac’s Nenek Sister (hehehe... ) to do the baptism. And now I'm relief because .. he has been baptized ! And poor boy .. since the ceremony has been dragging from morning till noon .. He was soo exhausted and fell asleep ...even when the nun blessed him with the holy water he didn’t even wake up.. kasian my baby!


After the Baptism we went to have brunch somewhere in town .. the food was okie and consider cheap too .And in the evening we went to visit my friend, Ladd at his home in Bukit Kuda (mau minta special gate pass .. teeheehee Thanks Ladd!). Actually my BIL told us that we can take the car and have a drive round the island .. because he said in 2 hours time u can pusing the whole island .. But no thanks .. we are not interested ! Anyway we brought the kids (hehehe .. only 2 actually Angel & Phoebe) to visit the Botanical Garden that evening ... The Garden was so empty ... deserted .. but clean . Only a few people went to jog there .. But it’s a nice place actually .. I wonder why the Labuan folks didn’t go there ... Maybe because of the dog grave? yaaa .. they have a dog grave in the middle of the park. Why? I dunno ... maybe the dog name is Labuan .. After the park we went to find Phoebe's birthday cake ..(because we promise her that she will be celebrating her birthday with her cousin, Jonathan) . We went to southern Cake House .. but they don’t have much choice tho' .. Anyway the kids still happy because they get to eat a cake . AM & me was thinking to play a prank on the kids .. so we bought a magic candle .. which they wrote there it won’t blow off no matter how u blows... But very surprisingly.. Phoebe & Jonathan managed to blow the candle .... (ahahahaha and of course all of their saliva is on the cake already ..) hehehe ..


The next day we went to buy the drinks & chocolates.. hehehe I only got 2 small bottle of Vodka for myself .. not really into liquor nowadays ..(teda kawan minum bah..) but I do do do love the chocolates... Was planning to take the 1.30 pm Labuan - KK Ferry .. But AM changed his mind so instead of ferry we took the speedboat to Menumbok . The journey was fine .. it was Wyatt's first trip ...glad he was ok along the way. Before the journey home we went to Labuan International Sea Sports Complex. They were actually having a Labuan Sea Festival that day .. so we supposed to met Ladd (he was still in the race .. tug-of-boats ) so while waiting for him we went around to see the Museum of marine Biology ... Later after that we went to the port to say goodbye to everybody and took the speedboat home to menumbok. From Menumbok we took a Private Car to KK .. So we reach KK safely around 5pm... Wow! that was a very long journey for the kids .. And right after taking their bath that evening both of them went to sleep until the next morning .. poor baby! Too exhausted ... hehehe


All in all... it was a nice trip to Labuan!

I read something like this in the internet ...

Ya meh ? hmmm ... dunno . So what if the children show temper tantrums right in front of everybody ? and they said this ...
