Merdeka Hols

Last school holiday, Phoebe went to Tawau to visit her cuzzies. She was very excited about her trip and I was actually a bit worried if she started to miss or look for one of us. Anyway the first few days was fine until on Thursday when she started to look for me.


We went back to Tawau on the Merdeka weekends. It was a very short holiday, so we didn't plan to go anywhere or do anything. So, we just stay at home,except for dh, he went to play paintball with his friends on our last day there. On Saturday we went to have a makan-makan dinner at Promenade with the whole gang (well..makan is always the main agenda in the family). The food is quiet ok but not as good as KK lah ...


So I'm just gonna post some of the photos taken during the dinner @ promenade


Ok lah ... that's all..* I actually have no idea what to write anymore since i have not been blogging for a while ... oh well, I think i will cope with that soon...anyway, just to update, lately I've been busy doing my baking. Since this is my first time baking cookies, so I was thinking it is better for me to start early to practise so by the time Xmas is here ... my cookies will be perfect! (kunun lah....) Finally i have found my passion... hehehe, Its time for me to start practising my 2nd recipe .... *

Yup! That's how old Wyatt is today.

He woke up this morning a bit groggy due to his runny nose. Still, cheerful moody little one he is. I asked my wife what to get for his birthday, as we're not buying any cakes today or else he would blow the candles and leave his slime everywhere... euuwwwww

3 days and counting...

Day 3 - Isaac is asleep now. He had asthma attack 2 days ago on the way to school. Poor kid. He was wheezing badly. Had to bring him for nebulizer at DMC. He was a bit better after that, and 3 other nurses + yours truly tried to keep him still.

The only time he would be given his inhaler is when he's asleep. 6 puffs and he won't even realised it.

Opps... his porridge is almost done.

Sleep tight kid. :)

Isaac's New best friend!

Poor Piggy .. was coughing since a few days ago, and last night he got fever! This morning decided to bring him see his Paed at DSC . So Doc gave him something .......

Yup! it's an aerochamber with mask - for his inhaled asthma medication . Anyway, from today onwards he can take over Phoebe's old aerochamber (which reminds me .. I have to look for it later at home) since Phoebe won't be using it anymore.



I remember my conversation with a friend some time ago when Phoebe was diagnosed with asthma (she was less than 2 months).

XYZ : Ko punya anak ada asthma? begitu kicik ..kasiannya ...
Me : Ya lor ... mama dia pun ada bah
XYZ : oo ko tau aahh klu asthma punya orang kan misti makan itu ...bla...bla..bla ..
Me : huhh?? YUCKSSS .... (nonsense!!)

Pity hoorr?? I'm sure they never read anything about asthma.... I should have tell them that it is possible to treat but not yet possible to cure ... and it is not even contagious!! *sigh*



Anyway, I just have to monitor Isaac this few days ... hope the wheezing will go away soon!

Isaac's 1st Birthday

We went back to Tawau for a short holidays last week. Have a small birthday-eve party at SIL house and the next day went to spend a night at Shan Shui Golf Resort. It was fun and the kids enjoying themselves too .... Was supposed to blog about this last week but I am superly duperly lazy ... hehe anyway Internet line very sloooowww! was trying to upload pixies since we came back and it's not finished yet!! So for more stories please read here .....

Oh ya .. for Isaac's birthday cake, we order cupcakes from deana. When the cake arrive last saturday I was shocked because it was not like what I want ..but when I double check my order, whooopsiee! it's my fault.. I order the wrong one. Anyway it still taste & look nice to me .. so no worry Deana .. hehe

And FIL also bake another cake for Isaac ... Thanks ya! and for Wendy who took hours to decorate the cake ....teeheeheee

EXCUSE ME ... BUT BACK OFF!!!

Ya ..Excuse me but back off ya! How do you want to say this to strangers politely??

Well the story is like this …

Last night my family & I went to have dinner at one of our usual makan place (Restaurant) .. So like usual when we were busy eating Piggy will be looking and playing around (sort of entertaining himself while I feed him) So suddenly these 2 ladies next to our table start to play with saac.. which at first I don’t mind. But when they start to hold his hand & cheek .. I was like … "HEYYYYY stop touching my baby ok!!!!and back off please!!" Do you like total strangers to touch your kids?? Well Me, I hate it! But how to say it politely?? I don’t mind if families or friends holding my baby ,but if I don’t know your name & I have no slightest idea about who you are then I won’t hesitate to say “hands off my baby!”. Why don’t people use their common sense …children tend to put their hands in their mouths so Please do not touch his hands nor his face lah.

There is also an incident where the shop owner & the workers try to carry Isaac and Hubby quickly picks him up and brings him for a walk …fuhhh!!!

Small note : wanted to post this entry last night, but when we reach home I was so tired that I fall asleep while watching TV with Phoebe…

Rude Awakening

Having the little ones sleeping with us is sometimes fun. Looking at them while they are asleep makes you wonder what is running in those tiny little head of theirs.... are they dreaming? what are they dreaming about? milk? toys? porridge? hmmm... it makes you wonder, don't they?

The only downside is when yours truly has a very sensitive nose for the smell.... (sniff sniff)... what's that smell..... awwww..... Piggy! ... He left something in his diaper again tonite... sleeping Winnie the Pooh is cute, ...sleeping with poo-poo is not!

I don't mind with the washing & cleaning up in the wee hours, it's just that I pity when Piggy has to be up too.....

One of the trick I've been using to make sure that Piggy doesn't wake up too long during the ordeal, was to keep a warm bottle of milk at hand.... so I took Piggy out from the bedroom and into the bathroom, cleaned him up, brought him to the living room and plugged him with his night cap.... You can see him with his confused wide opened eye looking around the room, thinking:

"Huh?... How did I landed here butt naked?.... What's Dad doing at the bathroom? What's this in my mouth? ohhh... milk... okie.... yumm yumm yumm...."

Once done cleaning him up, back to the bedroom for us.... if I'm lucky he will be straight to wonderland... if I'm not, well I might be up with him, blogging tonight....

Piggy: ".... psst Dad,.... can we go to sleep? NOW I'm sleepy.. '

Dad: "Huh? Sleepy, eh? .... too bad... since I can't sleep now, you have to accompany me watching the Olympics"

Piggy (yawn): "Okie.... I'll just ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ..."


Yupp.... that's my boy.... can't wait for his 1-year old birthday next week...

Intrusion of Privacy... a.k.a. Share-Share mah....

Imagine this....

You're enjoying your nice evening soak in the warm water while minding your own business....

Suddenly, someone rush into your bathroom, screaming, "I want to ok-ok*!!!", and immediately sat on the toilet bowl.... staring at the intruder, you're speechless, profounded or thinking "what the....???"

What would be your next reaction?

1. Just ignore the intruder, mind your own business and continue with what you were doing
2. Shout out likewise, "Hey! My personnal time.... GET OUT!!"
3. Pretend you did not know that what happened.... (yeah, I would like to see you pretend on that!)

Well, as for Piggy, he opt no.1 + confusion.... what happened??? I thought Dad gave me the toilet for the evening.... sheessshhh.... MOM!!!!!!!!!!

What happened was, Piggy just finished his bath and was playing in the pail with his toothbrush.... (yup, I normally put him in there WITH SUPERVISION of course), when his sister rushed in to do her thingy..... The look on his face was "WHA.....???" look at the sister, look at me, look at Mom, look at sister (again), look at me (again), look at Mom (again), look at toothbrush, continue with his own business....

Mom eventually moved him nearer to the door....

Well, mental note to Piggy: Lock door when next taking a bath.

Piggy has no milk today ...

I got a phone call from Piggy's teacher this morning. They ran out of milk!! Aiyohhhh ... So I asked the teacher (nicely lah ...) why the school didn't inform me earlier and they said they already "inform" me (woorr..) on Thursday. Am I nyanyok again?? So I text Hub (see if he can remember also..) and he said "None"... Fuhh nasib!Aiyoohhh .... pity my Piggy! So at the moment Piggy Boy have to "borrow" some milk from his friends ... until mummy send some more milk to school.

p.s Wyatt got 4 teeth already.. yay very fast kan!

Update 1

Isaac has no more fever since last Tuesday, and I am relieved that he doesn't even have the HFM disease! Thank God for that .. But yesterday Phoebe was send home because of mild fever, but she can still run around with her cousin! haiii ..kids! Did you guys read the newspaper yesterday abt the HFM disease ?? ohhh .. i was soo thankful that Isaac didn't get the bug ..fuhhh!!

Dept to check on situation at Tadika

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Acting Health Director Dr Mohd Yusof Ibrahim said personnel will be sent from the department's Public Health Division to check out the situation at Tadika Chung Hwa in Lido, Penampang.

This followed reports from a grandmother that two of her grandchildren were diagnosed by a private doctor as having symptoms of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD).

According to the grandmother, her granddaughter suffered the symptoms earlier this month, followed by a younger one with similar symptoms on July 15.

Isaac also have the symptoms .. and the doctor suspected it to be HFMD, so do you think I should report it? They said "parents whose children have been diagnosed with symptoms of HFMD have been advised to inform the department's contact number or nearest health office for their immediate action." What action?? nahhh .. I don't think so lah .. hehe or maybe I should check with the school if there is any sick babies there ....

Cheaper Milk ?? (DE @ 24th July 2008)

Cheaper milk

Penang: The Government will next year announce a new "growing up" milk product for children above two years of age, which is expected to be 30 per cent cheaper than the current milk price.

The product will be manufactured by a government-linked company whose name Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Shahrir Abdul Samad declined to reveal. He said the milk would not be advertised in any media.

Instead, it will be directly put on sale in hypermarkets and shopping malls.

"The main reason for the price to be 30 per cent less is because the product will not carry any advertising cost," he said.

He said the Ministry needed more time to prepare the programme, adding that it had identified the producer.

Wow .. cheaper milk? that's a good news, isn't it? Well, nowadays formula milk is really really expensive. And I have 2 kids still on formula milk! (my gawddd..I am actually trying to make Phoebe to stop on formula milk.Lisa, how do u do it?) So , I'm waiting for it! Is this going to be like the "beras subsidi" by the government? where people will rush to the hypermarket to get their "susu subsidi" hehe ...so I'll be one of them, then? hmmm...

Update 3

I was reading Lisa's blog few days ago about the US Airways,can they fly or not? Well it's a bit scary when they said they are just going to bring "just enough" fuel for the trip .. I mean, what if something happen on the way? Well I'm sure the US airways have their own reason behind that. Anyway what really caught my attention is how they react on the problem ...

Ray (spokesman for the US Airlines Pilot) said soaring jet fuel prices have sent all the airlines scrambling to find ways to cut the weight of airliners because the heavier the plane, the more fuel the plane burns. US Airways, based in Tempe, Ariz., has recently removed movie players, redesigned its meal carts and replaced glassware with plastic to reduce weight.

MAS : What?? Fuel price increase aahh? How much woorr ..?? what?? Carry extra fuel on flight ka ? Ok ok no problem can ... then increased the ticket fare by 30% lah!!!! Sure can ..no problem one ....Who make noise ? Don't care lah .. I don't want to lose my vacation money lah... Let the people suffer with me lah ...

Air asia : What? increase again aahh ..aiyahh die lorr like this ..aiya don't increase fare ..we increase the airport tax lah ..or we sell whatever we can on air ... like safety belt for rent at 4.99 maybe? or rent 1 safety jacket at 8.99 and you get the 2nd unit at half price!

That was only my opinion ok?? I repeat ...MY OPINION ! What Malaysia airlines do when there is a fuel price increase? Increase the fare!! Simple!

Hand Foot & Mouth Disease ..

Do you know what is HFM disease ? Do you know how does it infected ? And how worse is that "disease" ... I totally have NO idea about it .. heard about it before but Phoebe has never caught the bug before (so does my nephew & nieces) ..And today, I have to stay at home because Isaac was having a hi-fever since last nite, and when I brought him to the Paed and the paed suspected he's caught the bug! OMG!!!

Anyway done some research ....

What is hand-foot-and-mouth syndrome?

Hand-foot-and-mouth syndrome (HFM) is a viral infection characterized by fever and a typical rash most frequently seen on the palms of the hands, soles of the feet, and inside the mouth. It should not be confused with foot (hoof) and mouth disease that affects cattle, sheep, and swine.

What are the symptoms of hand-foot-and-mouth syndrome?

HFM is most commonly an illness of the spring and fall seasons. Initial symptoms of mild fever (101-102 degrees) and malaise are followed within one or two days by a characteristic rash. Small (2-3 mm) red spots that quickly develop into small vesicles (blisters) appear on the palms, soles, and oral cavity. The gums, tongue, and inner cheek are most commonly involved. The foot lesions may also involve the lower calf region and rarely may appear on the buttocks. Oral lesions are commonly associated with a sore throat and diminished appetite.

What causes hand-foot-and-mouth syndrome?

HFM is caused by several members of the enterovirus family. The most common cause is Coxsackie virus A-16; less frequently Enterovirus 71 is the infectious agent. The clinical manifestations of routine HFM are the same regardless of the responsible virus. However, patients infected with Enterovirus 71 are more likely to experience rare complications (for example, viral meningitis or cardiac muscle involvement).

What is the incubation period for hand-foot-and-mouth syndrome?

HFM is moderately contagious and spreads from person to person. It cannot be spread by animals. Usually the virus is passed via oral secretions (nasal discharge, saliva, etc.) or via stool. There is a short four- to six-day incubation period between exposure and development of initial symptoms (fever and malaise). A person is most contagious during the first week of illness.

OMGG !! It's contagious .. and the Paed told me to monitor his condition for 2 days! If the fever hasn't come down so he definitely got the HFM disease..so he have to be quarantine and they (the doctor) have to report this to the Health Inspector. And the Health Inspector will do a round/check at Isaac's school .. and if they found out they have a chain (means like 2-3 kids having the same problem like Isaac) they will order the school to shut down for a week! I was terrified when I heard this..of course! I really didn't know it was THAT serious ... BUT if after 2 days he has no more fever .. so Isaac just got tonsillitis bug .... phewww! **finger cross**

So after I gave him his med this afternoon ..he has no more fever ! Fuuuuhhhh thank god for that! I don't want to be blame if they really have to shut down his school for a week! Anyway, where the hell do i find a nanny to look after my poor boy?? Oh well.. I guess I just need to make a SOS call to my mom ..tiihiiihiiii...

Yup ... I haven't updated anything about Isaac yet .. tho' he is already 10 months old

Anyway here are a few thingy about this piggy boy

1. He got 2 teeth already (ya I know... a bit slower than other kids ..nvm that)
2. He can stand up on his own (for a few seconds only lah..)
3. He don't take his feed (milk) at nite time .. so he will sleep straight until morning ...(huh.. relieve because with Phoebe, hub & me have to take turn to make milk for her .. she woke up every 2 hours when she was still a baby...stress!)
4. He is allergy with Strawberry (pity because Phoebe loves strawberry ...)
5. He is very attached to Mum, Dad & big Sis ... and also Anne, his caretaker at the nursery.
6. I think he got claustrophobia ..because he don't like to be put inside the pail when he take his bath.
7. Last nite he said the word "papa"... (mama is very sad..bcs have been teaching him the word ma-ma for long time already ..huhu...)
8. Very jealousy...
9. Short-tempered (like both mum&dad... hahaha)
10. Why we called him Piggy? Other than born in the year of the "Golden Pig" (Chinese calender) .. he can't stand looking at other people eating .....

There are so many things again .. but I will post it some other time ...& with the photo, of course . Now the camera is out of order , so can't take pix at the moment ...
