Mah & Jason

Poem by Jason (From the Movie 'Sepet')
Copy from : Yasmin Ahmad - The Story teller

Bless this little heart,this white
soul that has won the kiss of heaven.

He loves the light of the sun,He
loves the sight of his mother’s face.
He has not learnt to hate the dust, and
love the gold.
Clasp him to your heart and bless him.
He has come into
this land of 100 crossroads.
I know not how he chose you from the crowd, came
to your door, grasped your hand to ask his way.
He followed you, laughing and
talking, without a doubt in his heart.
Keep his trust, lead him straight, and
bless him.
Lay your hand on his head, and pray that though the waves beneath
him grow threatening, yet the breath from above him will fill his sails and waft
him to the haven of peace.
Forget him not in your hurry, let him come to your
heart and bless him...
Goodnight, mah.

Sad isn't it? really .. You should watch the Movie "Sepet". It really touch your heart... It's about two different people coming from 2 different walks of life , falls in love and try to make it happen and it ends "tragically" .... And if you wants to add moreeee "sadness" to the ending , go to Yasmin's blog because she wrote the actual ending script (She is the Director for this Movie) huhuhu ....
Sepet is a moving story. It is also a very artful piece of drama that weaves the themes of Malay-Chinese racial relations and the issue of nationhood within a simple plot of a love story.
I am cryinggggg !!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s this is the scene when Loong's family was having dinner. Loong's Mah stuffing chicken to choke the words out of a cynical father/husband who was showing disaproval about Loong's relationship with a Malay girl. And Loong's SIL tried to say something and Mah said " ehhh .. shut up lah lu .. stupid singaporean.."
