Updates!

What have I done lately? Not much activity actually ... Last Saturday I decided to try one of the recipe from my cookbook, Doughnuts! hehe ... and Phoebe has her fun time decorating her donut with melted chocolate & chips with some funny star shape candy ........ The next day we just stay at home because daddy have to attend some class. And during lunch time we went to McD at the Terminal 1 airport with hubby & Uncle Ben. After fetching hubby from class, we went to Lokawi Army camp to buy some food from the Bazaar Ramahdan there ...After the whole day eating junks .. that nite my nightmare came! Phoebe keeps on vomiting & Isaac got diarrhea ...And I got stomach upset too! My gawdd, I'm not sure what has caused it but the kids didn't eat the food I bought from the Bazaar Ramahdan, only me & hubby... I pity Phoebe because she cannot even take anything only pure water ... That night before sleep, Phoebe told me that she doesn't want to go to school the next day because she scared that she will start vomiting in class .... ohh poor girl! so mummy have to look after the sick girl at home (and of course Isaac also have to stay at home)

During the Mooncake Fest. we went to Gaya Street but since there is no "valid" parking space (unless u park curi2 lah ... but no we are not an idiot who just simply park their cars anywhere ok..) so we left lah ... Phoebe was so sad because she didn't get to watch the performance & the lanterns.

Last wednesday hubby went outstation, so left me & the kids at home. Luckily they have been very "kuai kuai" but Phoebe miss her daddy soo much that she keeps on asking when is daddy coming home ..... *sigh*

So, can't wait for weekend tomorrow.....

Lately I have been watching news around the clock. Why? because politics is getting more interesting from day to day... and I wonder why do people make such a big fuss about 31.08 or 16.09, before this nobody even care, so why now? Don't say that I didn't learn my history ... *sigh*

Cookies Recipe

Famous-Amos Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

1/2 pound Butter or Margarine
1 cup Light Brown Sugar
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
3 cups Bisquick
1 cup cornstarch
1/2 cup non-fat milk powder
2 tbs Sanka or Coffee Powder
1 tbs unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tbs vanilla
1 package semi-sweet chocolate pieces (12 ounces)
4 ounces Pecans - chopped

Preparation Method

With electric mixer at high speed,cream butter until light & fluffy. Beat in sugar, beating until very creamy. Beat in eggs, then each remaining ingredients, except chips & pecans. When dough is smooth, work in chips & pecans with spoon.Make grape-sized pieces of dough for each cookie, placing 1" apart on ungreased sheet. Bake at 350~ for 14 mins or until golden brown.

Freeze unbaked cookie dough to thaw, shape & bake in 4 months.




Famous-Amos Raisin -Filled Choc Chip Cookies

Ingredients
2 cups Margarine , Softened
3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
3/4 up granulated sugar
1 ts Vanilla
2md eggs
2 1/2 cups All-Purpose Flour, sifted
1ts baking soda
1/2ts Salt
2 cups raisin
12oz semisweet chocolate chips

Preparation Method
Preheat oven to 375~. Beat Margarine, brown & white sugar, vanilla, 1 teaspoon water and eggs with electric mixer in large bowl until creamy and thoroughly blended. By hand,stir in flour, baking soda & salt until well mixed.Stir in raisins & chocolate chips.Spoon dough bu teaspoonfuls onto cookies sheets. Leave 1"-1.5" between cookies .Bake 8 mins or until cookies are browned to your liking.

p.s I'm sure Famous-Amos have their own special butter or margarine , that is why their cookies always have nice smell (I Think lah...) I got this recipe from a Secret Recipe E-book ... hehehehe

Haha ...look at the donuts?? Doesn't look nice kan? Not tempting at all .. presentation is very bad. I think they only have 2 types - Black or white with different filling. Altho' it looks terrible but the taste is good leerrr.. (Phoebe & I ate 2pc of donuts that nite and we skip dinner .. hehe gondorot (greedy??) kan!)

So my rating for this Mister Donut .... Very Masarap! Maraming Salamat sa Bayaw for the wonderful donuts ya !

Small Note :

Me : Ehh how many donuts you want?
Hub: Want ..
Me : (heard the sound one and tapau 1pc of donut for hubby)

Later in the evening ..

Hub : Ehh how come my donut you tapau 1 only?
Me : I ask you .. u said u want "one" only ....
Hub : Huhh????

Moral of the story : Next time tapau yourself lah ...

Small note 2 :

During the National day we went to Tambunan to visit my Mum & nenek (grandma) . We bought 54pcs of Big Apple Donuts to bring back to Tambunan ... errrmm we are soo in love with donuts .. u bet!
